How MoveIt Works
Build a portable AI memory from ChatGPT, Gemini, NotebookLM, Claude, and Perplexity history — with verified email access, background processing, customer-controlled deletion, and live search from Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.
Step 1: Export your chat history
From ChatGPT
- Open ChatGPT and go to Settings, Data Controls, and Export data.
- Confirm the export and download the ZIP file from the email.
You can also request your data through the OpenAI Privacy Portal.
From Gemini
- Go to Google Takeout and select My Activity.
- Choose Gemini Apps, and also select NotebookLM if you want to move your notebooks.
- Create the export and download the ZIP.
From Claude
- Open Claude.ai and go to Settings and Privacy, then choose Export data.
- Follow the link in Anthropic's email when the export is ready. Newer exports list several downloads — start with the conversations ZIP (for example conversations-000.zip); older exports are a single ZIP.
- Upload the conversations ZIP for chat history. The projects, memories, and design chats ZIPs can also be uploaded and each imports separately; only the metadata ZIP has nothing to import.
From Perplexity
- Open Perplexity and go to Settings and Account, then choose Download your data.
- Download the ZIP from Perplexity's email when it is ready.
Step 2: Upload your export
Drag the downloaded ZIP straight onto the upload area. You can also upload conversations.json from ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity, or Gemini MyActivity.json and MyActivity.html directly.
Verify your email first. Before upload, you must accept that MoveIt stores sensitive source content until deletion and sends it to Anthropic for processing. Prepared uploads must fit the 25MB production request limit.
Step 3: Pay and run the analysis
Generating your profile is a one-time $10 payment via Stripe. Claude then writes a cognitive profile describing how you think, communicate, and work.
Step 4: Extract your projects
MoveIt identifies projects across your chats and creates a markdown briefing for each project's goals, tech stack, key decisions, and next steps.
Using the project ZIP in Claude
- Download and unzip the project files.
- Open Claude and create a Project.
- Upload the matching markdown briefing to the project's Knowledge section.
Live Connector for Claude, ChatGPT, and Perplexity
Live Connector is an optional $5 per month bridge for verified customers with at least one paid migration. Claude (Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector), ChatGPT Developer Mode (Settings, Security and login, Developer mode, with Streaming HTTP and OAuth/DCR), and Perplexity (Settings, Connectors, Add connector) can search MoveIt live using keyword and semantic search and load your cognitive profile. One subscription covers all connected clients.
With read/write approval, any connected assistant can back up chats by saving conversation copies and notes to MoveIt when you ask. Saved content stays yours to view, download, or delete even after the subscription ends.
Email access, retention, and deletion
MoveIt uses short-lived, single-use email links instead of passwords. Signed-in customers can see migration, payment, processing, and download status from any browser.
Customer-owned uploads and packages stay available until the customer deletes an individual migration or their account. A generic completion email never includes conversation or project content.
Mind Map and optional Deep Insights
An active Live Connector subscription includes a private Mind Map built from eligible imported and saved workspace content using existing embeddings. Customers can filter themes and profile traits, inspect supporting sources, refresh the map, and export the standard visualization as a PNG.
Deep Insights is a separate, optional InfraNodus analysis. It runs only after explicit consent and an explicit full-map or single-theme request. MoveIt sends bounded representative excerpts rather than an entire account and requests doNotSave processing. Customers can request up to 10 analyses per calendar month.
Completed analyses appear in a full-width interactive workspace with a concept topology and Overview, Concepts, Gaps, and Metrics views. A failed Deep Insight does not affect the standard Mind Map; after the reported issue is resolved, start a new analysis.
Troubleshooting
No activity file found in this ZIP
Make sure your Google Takeout export includes Gemini Apps activity under My Activity.
Upload is slow
Large exports are compressed in your browser first, so give the upload a moment.
A Full-map insight failed
The private Mind Map remains available. Read the displayed error and start a new analysis after the issue is resolved. Production fixes require republishing the site; restarting a development preview does not update the published application.
